...doesn't win the Doak Walker award.

How in the hell does Henderson from Memphis not win that award?

Taylor was deserving as well. Wasn't that egregious IMO.

Thought it should have been ETN but Taylor is also really good.

Etienne had the highest YPC of the three

Meh. Taylor outrushed him by 80 yards, but Henderson missed time due to injury. He also had more all purpose yards and touchdowns. Kid is a beast and will be a dominant pro RB.

I'm no Memphis fan but that kid is fun to watch.

Nick Brossette was robbed. All those two yard carries and no award to show for it

It's a wonder how Ole Miss and State let him get out of MS and go to Memphis

He came from one of the most historically dominant high school football programs in Mississippi (South Panola), which is 20 minutes from Oxford.

I think there were academic concerns. Usually, D1 prospects out of South Panola get snatched up by Ole Miss if they qualify.

State has gotten a couple over the years, but that's an Ole Miss stronghold in the state. Unbelievable that they missed on him.

ETA: I looked at his recruiting profile and he was a two-star and Memphis was his best offer. Unbelievable.

Would have loved to have a healthy Swift all year. He’s a serious Doak candidate if he stays healthy next year.

Yeah i believe it was due to the fact he was terribly strong in the classroom and also he wasn't rated highly at all. Must've been a late bloomer. Makes me sick every time I see his silly stats
