Notre Dame cannot receive a first round bye or home field advantage.

The best part of an extended playoff is more games that matter and more big time matchups between blue-blood schools.

Plus, I hope to God bowl games outside of the playoffs get tossed in the trash altogether. They are useless, the players sit them out now, and, watching a team lift a trophy and pour Gatorade on their coach because they reached 7 wins and won the alkaseltzer bowl is just embarrassing. Make the playoff or take your arse home, no more fake trophies/fake games.

Arguing for all these bowl games is like saying “we should make the nba playoff field smaller and have less games for the Lakers, Celtics, 76ers, Rockets, and Nets so that the Magic & Timberwolves can play in a pretend bowl game. It’s ridiculous.

This is just a proposal by this committee. The final product will be tweaked to let a top 4 ND have a bye.
