actually you guys are idiots Saban does deserve credit because Dinardo had Reed as a 4th string tailback. Saban moved him to WR and the rest is history. He's always had an eye for knowing where to place his talent.
Maybe but Saban had NOTHING to do with getting Reed to LSU hence he was still a Dinardo player so according to Bama logic Dinardo gets the credit for Reed's accomplishments at LSU.

Offensive coordinator? Heck, imagine Saban with a stud qb. Davey comes the closest.

what is pretty amazing is the NFL talent that came out of MichSt while he was there. I didn't realize those guys played under the Sabanator.

Here is the interesting truth regarding Reed moving from RB to WR...
It was Josh Booty's idea!!
Really...
And that is as Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story...

If you say so.
They fact is Dinardo was the one who recruited Reed and since Saban gets credit for LSU's 2007 NC then Dinardo gets credit for LSU's 2001 SECC.
I thought this is how you gumptards said it worked.

I was in the MDB back in 2001 at the LSU vs UA game watching Reed and Davey go Xbox on our arse. We couldnt cover for shite.

you are the only one that brought that up.

The FACT is that Reed wouldve been 4th string RB had Saban not been there.

No I am pretty sure I saw bama giving all the credit to saban since it was "saban's players" that Les was coaching.

Why the hell do I care what Saban did at LSU?

Dinardo gets credit for getting him on the team, but Saban gets credit for actually getting good(or any for that matter) use out of him.

No, you or one of your LSU buddies brought it up.

Thought something looked funny. Mr. Reed had
two great seasons for Saban.
Josh Reed for 2000 added below.
1. Josh Reed, LSU, 2001, 94, 1,740
2. Plaxico Burress, Michigan State, 1999, 66, 1,142
3. Julio Jones, Alabama, 2010, 78, 1,133
4. Josh Reed, LSU, 2000, 65, 1127
5. Michael Clayton, LSU, 2003, 78, 1,079
6. Plaxico Burress, Michigan State, 1998, 65, 1,013
7. D.J. Hall, Alabama, 2007, 67, 1,005
8. Julio Jones, Alabama, 2008, 58, 924
9. Derrick Mason, Michigan State, 1996, 53, 865
10. Derrick Mason, Michigan State, 1995, 53, 787
11. Michael Clayton, LSU, 2002, 57, 749 [/quote]
Props to the Biletnikoff winner of 2001.
BTW bowl game stats were not included in 2001. Had they been Reed's stats were even more impressive. 108 receptions for 1979 yds. in 13 games.

We could definitely use that too but in my lifetime, Alabama has yet to field an above average quarterback.

Reed was so dominant in college because the bump-n-run didn't work against him. He was a 400 pound bench-presser so he did the bumping and the running and simply never dropped anything. For a 5'10"(Yes that's all he really is) guy who never ran much below 4.6, he's made quite a living for a decade now and still going. Still a very humble guy as well.
