It will never be like this again.

That image has been forever ingrained in my consciousness. Winning the national championship over Texas was anti-climatic in retrospect. THIS was the moment we arrived on the national stage in the Saban Era.

Sorry to add to the Bama Circle Jerk but I expect a BAMA victory of at least 20 and possibly 30 if the BAMA D really lays the wood on Trask

It was the year before, early 2008. A combination of whipping Clemson then Georgia (Blackout). We were #1 facing Florida and lost that year. But we were definitely on the "national stage" and haven't left it since.

I was there.

That was the loudest moment of the game.

It was anti-climatic once Colt McCoy went out early. I still think Bama wins that game but I doubt he throws that pick six to end the first half and Gilbert still brought them back to within 3 before Bama pulled away for good. Colt I think would have made the game more interesting at least, but it is what it is, Bama deserved the title and was the better team imo.

I still think it's bonkers that 2009 is the only undefeated Saban team, and yet it still might be his worst, I don't think I'd pick them over any of his other 4 Bama title teams.

That one was great, but this one was better for a multitude of reasons.

Well I did say it would never be like that again. So, technically I'm covered.

I was in the stadium when his crying face was shown on the Jumbotron. A man beside me somberly said, “Jesus wept.”

I loved the 99 game. The talking heads said Alabama couldn't beat Florida again in the same season. Freddie Milons shredded the Gators.

...and Lane Bearden played in that game. What a tough SOB he was. I believe he will meet any of of us, me included, at Sonic anytime.

I was at the regular season game in the Swamp. I was dating a Gator woman. She asked me why Bama punted late in the game when they were behind. I replied “the returner might fumble the punt.” He did. Our relationship was effectively over after that.
Watched the SECCG in a Jax ale house, swarming with Gator fans. It was a quiet place.

I hate both programs FWIW.
