No not that kind of streaky

Kind of a spin-off from the LSU-Bama rivalry thread. Moreso than what seems like any other rivalry, one team always seems to have control in the 3rd Saturday in October. Here are just some random facts to illustrate.

•Acting as if ties do not break win-streaks, 70 of the 92 (76%) wins in the all-time series have been part of at least a 4 game winning streak

•Under the same method, only 6 of the 70 (9%) wins since 1948 have not been part of at least a 4 game win streak

•Only 8 times in the series history have the teams alternated wins over a 3 game span (and a couple of these instances overlap)

•Once again eliminating games ending in ties, only 13 times have the teams gone 2-2 over a 4 game span (some overlap here as well)

•There have been 5 7+ game win streaks in the series.

•There have been 10 4+ game win streaks in the series

Thanks for y’all’s time I was bored

It is odd. Going back to the 70s you've had
Bama- 11 straight
Ut- 4 straight
Bama- 6 straight
Ut- 7 straight
Bama- 11 straight

Crazy.

Nobody gives a shite about this "rivalry" except those two fanbases. UT has shite the bed and made it inconsequential. The Egg Bowl is more interesting.

You had me agreeing with you until that egg bowl comment.... dont go full retard. The Egg bowl is the most trivial rivalry game in all of sport. usually a game of also rans.

But Bama has always kept the edge. Currently Bama leads the series 55-37-8 and is on an 11 game win streak. The best thing is that there is no end in sight.

I perdict this streak we in now will go to the 20s and maybe even 30 like the Florida over Kentucky streak. Tennessee sucks and they aint getting the mojo back.

So 28 Bama and only 11 for UT in the past 39 years.

Ouch

And this current Bama streak has no end in sight.

The series was tied in 1970. Bear Bryant at Bama vs Bill Battle and Johnny Majors at UT solidified the significant edge towards Alabama. Kiffin through Jones only made the gap that much wider.

Of course Bama has had no bad coaches. See Whitworth, Curry, DuBose, Shula.

The middle Bama streak was actually 7 from '86 - '92.

Do we to claim 93 as a win? You did have to forfeit, and since you didn't beat us on the field, we should get the win.

It's a win for Tennessee per the SEC media guide and NCAA records book.

Sweet, but is that having it both ways? Thought that was against the rules
