The attorney says Miller “never knew that illegal activity involving the gun would occur.”

Okay, here is the text:
quote:

‘I need my joint [gun] a n****r rl jus got a fakin.'

Will an Alabama loyalist please explain to me how this is benign? No BS, no spin......explain how Miller would think anything other than he is escalating a conflict by bringing the gun?

Neither the police, the DA, Miller, or his attorney have confirmed or denied whether Miller read this text prior to delivering the gun.

Albama’s AD has not commented on whether this question was answered to their satisfaction or even inquired into when they made their decision he was “ok to play.”

It’s now Day 3 since the text message has come to light, and we know just about everything that happened that night except whether Miller read that text before delivering the gun. I wonder why.

Typical response incoming….

Miller doesn’t know what that means

He was already on the way and it was all on one way streets he couldn’t turn around.

He did t know the gun was in the car

It was the victims fault

Let me answer what they’ve said over and over. Miller was already on the way there and he may not have read the text.

they don’t know anything we don’t know but there’s lots of unanswered questions imo

The technology exists to know whether or not he viewed this text.

IF it is confirmed he read the text, and still delivered the gun, would you agree he should be kicked off the team?

Hi Brandon,

I appreciate you picking me up. Will you be sure to bring my gun with you? There’s a fellow here who’s trying to intimidate me.

There is a lot we don’t know:

1. All of the other texts and calls made before and after the murder
2. Exactly where Miller was coming from when he delivered the gun
3. Why Miles needed a ride from Miller so badly when Bradley and his girlfriend were both there
4. Where did each person go immediately after the shooting and who drove whom where
5. Did they talk to each other about how they were going to handle it and try to avoid getting caught?
6. Who hid the gun in Quinnerly’s room?
7. Did Miller or Bradley call police to report the shooting? Why or why not?

I’m not an expert on that, but I’ve read others say they can pull data to show when the text was open. However, if Miller’s phone previews texts on the lock screen, the data can’t confirm whether he viewed the text on the lock screen. Even if he opened the text, it doesn’t necessarily mean he read it. So what did Brandon say about when he read the text? Has anyone even asked him?

Absolutely.

But he could have seen the text without even clicking specifically on the text to go into messages- depending on how he has his phone set up.

I don’t know of course- but just saying I don’t know that technology would be able to tell that.

You mean like the police, that he cooperated with?

If technology proved that he did not read the text until after the shooting that fact would have been included in his lawyer's self-serving statement.

Exactly. If they did their job correctly, they would have asked him. But there has been no confirmation as to the answer. I’m sure they will not mind sharing that answer with us. I’m sure that will be released any moment now.

I'm sorry jon ham, I know how truly concerned you are with this. Let me reach out to the Tuscaloosa PD and let them know there is a fashion expert on the internet that is extremely butthurt he wasn't informed fully about their investigation.

Your thread revolves around two things we don’t know - when exactly Miller saw/read the text and what his frame of mind was at the time. Based on what we know, he’s been cooperating with investigators, and we know he hasn’t been charged with a crime. That doesn’t mean he won’t be, but I’d imagine those two questions have been asked of him. The question is if his answers to them have been corroborated.

I’m not saying he should be charged but I don’t understand why his cooperation matters. Other than information that would help him, what information could he provide that helps the investigation? They knew who the shooter was and Miles gave himself up pretty easily. It does make you wonder how equal the support Miles and Miller received from the university though.

What’s funny is that an internet jackass like me is able to easily shed light on how dubious the handling of this situation has been. Talk about amateur hour.

It is possible that he read the text, law enforcement knows he read the text, and he still hasn't been charged.

If they know he read the text and he hasn't been charged, this is a massive miscarriage of justice.
