Alabama:
DeVonta Smith, Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy, Jaylen Waddle and Henry Ruggs III
LSU:
Josh Reed, Dwayne Bowe, Craig Davis, Early Doucet and Michael Clayton
Michigan State:
Plaxico Burress, Derrick Mason and Muhsin Muhammad
He could literally make a 3-deep of All-Americans at the position.

This year’s recruiting class will be his best ever.
Jojo Earle will win a heisman.

Just mentioning him causes Tennessee fans to have nightmares.

But this class has a legitimate chance to do it.

It’s not nightmares anymore it’s just reality

DJ Hall couldn't decide if he wanted to be a gangsta or an NFL WR.

4 top 10 receivers... never been done ever

I didn't realize he had all three of these guys at Michigan State. Three very, very good players, and Burress had as much talent as anyone on this list not named Julio.

Why don't you just post link to the Ryan McGee ESPN article instead.

We just gonna leave out Jaylen Waddle?

You could also add Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis for LSU - 2 more first round picks.

Dwayne Bowe could have been epic

2020 class:
1 5*, 3 4*
#2, #5, #7 and #9 WR from the class
2017 class:
1 5*, 3 4*
#3, # 9, #11 and #12 WR from the class
Jeudy, Smith, Ruggs and Shavers. Three first round picks and a Heisman winner. 1 graduate transfer to Mississippi State (surprised he didn't get big numbers this year, considering being a 4* WR in an Air Raid offense)
The potential is there for 2020 to be better, but matching what 2017's class has accomplished is going to be absurdly difficult.

Early Doucet was on that team with Bowe

Fair, but I wanted to really discuss the WR talent - especially considering that, until recently, he was not known for the high-flying kind of offense.

I remember another scout quote: "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane."
He was a cancer.

A man out of his time. That was back when going over the middle could get you hurt. He would kill in today's game.

2017 was the greatest collection of skilled players in Alabama history. 2 national championships are the reality for this group, but frankly, if not for just terrible defensive coaching, the absolute worst of the Nick Saban era, this class would have been historic in every way.
