It would probably be easier to get under your skin telling you how Jimbo has been quoted saying that "LSU is a very special place" while he was still at FSU and how he will eventually end up in Baton Rouge and all that crap. Fact is, most of us still think he's overrated and you can keep him and that ridiculous contract.

1. Why would Jimbo leave? He is getting a lot of money! That, by the way, LSU can't match.

2. We have a coach and things are headed in the right direction and quickly.

Jimbo has stated plainly the reason he went to A&M was because of Scott Woodward. Not $75 million.

Bull fricking shite and everyone knows it.

Plus yall don't know this but we originally wanted to give Jimbo $100 million for tens years to match the Saban to Texas offer and Scott said save that for a counter offer.

So Jimbo won't cost yall $60 or whatever million, he would cost over $100 million as you would have to match our counter offer.

No one outside of Aggieland is willing to pay Jimbo that kind of money.

the fact that so many LSU fans still think this while also beating their chests over Woodward is one of the, honest to god, funniest things I have ever seen on here

I doubt Woodward thought Jimbo was worth the contract but if A&M had the resources, they thought Jimbo was the answer and they were desperate enough to meet his price, I can see why he'd make the deal. On one hand, while LSU fans should be envious that we don't have that kind of cash to throw at a football coach, I'm sure most of our knowledgeable fans are happy we aren't saddled with that contract.

He’s going to have major influence on who the next AD will be. He might as well just pick him out.

This looks more like something y’all want to be true than actual reality.

The #1 and only reason Jimbo is not going anywhere is Woodward has not yet asked him.

Fear? Nah. It’s just addressing the new situation.

Lsu fans don’t know how to respond except saying melt over and over again.

I don’t need to come here to see melting, I just glance at TexAgs.

But yeah, y’all aren’t melting at all.

Unless LSU wildly underachieves this year. Then I think Woodward could pull him seeing as how they'd only need to match what is left on his contract, according to posts I've read here.

Do you really believe the Aggies would not give Jimbo a raise to keep him?

It’s like y’all never learn. Do you think LSU just got Woodward because of money?

It seems like a full meltdown would be the only reaction you know, but some of us reserve our melts for truly bad issues. Losing an AD (a very good one) sucks, but Jimbo & Buzz are here to stay. That’s the key. Woodward already did his job so well here he’s not going to be missed nearly as much.
