State was solid that year
10-0-1 (4-0-1 in the SEC)
7-7 tie with Auburn costs us a share of the SEC championship.
Won the Orange Bowl 14-7 over Georgetown and finished 5th the final rankings.

Minnesota..played about 8 games a year in those bogus championship years ..and never a bowl...yes others will have legit claims over Minnesota
