How the hell did that guy ever get hired. Im so confused on how some of these guys get hired. 20 seconds of him talking and i can tell you the guys an idiot .....not hey heres 4 million come coach.

Hart didn't kick it off. Hamilton had it all set up. Dooley actually was a part of build, and had design say. Jones didn't do jack, and walked in getting to christen it. Jones had it so plush.
And OP don't let all these VOL fans fool you. They were all about the jones hire at the time cause they hated Dooley just like the hate jones now. The Legion of the Miserable at it's best.

I’ve been saying that since he was hired. Same with the previous coach. Likely same with the next coach.

You watch...Tennessee will blather about all of those high profile coaches that are candidates and end up hiring Luke Fickell, because he beat Bama that one time as DC of tOSU.

Tenner doesn't knkw the first thing about wiping their arse. I wouldn't expect them to know how to find a competent coach.

The REC is powerful and all reaching organization. I bet they also put several other coaches in office just to screw over their rivals.....The REC doing work....hell yeah!

That's a stretch. I was very disappointed in the hire, like many of us were. But, we were gonna support the coach until he gave us a reason not to. It didn't take him long, Josh Dobbs gave him a stay of execution in his 2nd year, but I knew (As did most of the Vols on this board) deep down, that he could not get it done.

Given Bama's string of mis-hires between Stallings and Saban, I think bama fans shouldn't point fingers.
