Tennessee ranked 64th in offensive efficiency in the KenPom.

That's not good. Teams with that stat never sniffs the NCAA Championship.

Our offense has been horrid. But our defense has been beyond elite. If we can just play slightly above average on O we can stay in every game.

The stat of NCAA champions is top 15 in both offense and defense efficiency on KenPom. Tennessee just does not have it on offense this year.

Never say never, but history certainly agrees with you. It's super rare that a team outside of the top ten in terms of offensive efficiency wins the national title, and Tennessee isn't UConn (and that weird Syracuse team) with Shabazz/Kemba/Carmelo to lead them on a run. To make matters worse, that 2014 UConn squad was still 25 spots better than this Tennessee team.

There's still four weeks left in the regular season, but the odds of this stud emerging for the Vols is pretty slim.

I think the O/U on SEC teams making it to the Sweet 16 is 1 this year right now. Nobody save Alabama really looks the part.

Tennessee could be #1 in off. efficiency and still aren't gonna sniff a championship because of Rick Barnes.
