to respond to the NCAA's notice of allegations, which were sent to UT July 22. The NCAA has granted the extension, per UT athletic department official.

From Life Champions to real Fuhlmer Cup contenders?

Won’t be this year. The wins this year will stand. Whatever the NCAA has, you can bet they know exactly what players got money and received improper benefits. Every single player involved are at schools like Bama, UNC, Oklahoma and Michigan State. If you punish one, then you gotta punish all that is involved.

When will y’all learn the NCAA can’t do long term damage to a program anymore? Whatever comes from this will mean shite.

Same as Kansas
Not going to ruin a season for players and coaches not involved

The whole admin is gone
Tenn probably should have done a bowl ban earlier
Vacate some wins, reduce some visits, maybe take a recruit or two away and fine them and probably that will be about it

The NCAA doesn't punish players, they punish schools. The school that paid the players is the University of Tennessee.

I know nothing about this case and have no idea what actual punishment will be, but a postseason/bowl ban for the 2023 season would be a big deal to them.

I can definitely see some short term issues. Definitely some transfers. But the only thing that matters long term right now for them is that they keep their coach. But yes I agree. There will be some impact.

Did they self-impose anything? I haven't seen anything on it.

At least LSU self-imposed some stuff, so the football program was spared for the most part.

If Tennessee is living in total defiance, they will be punished.

The infractions usually include vacating wins in all of the seasons affected. In Tennessee's case, since the infractions were uncovered in 2021, the penalties are sure to include that year, and up to 3-4 successive ones.

The NCAA doesn't punish players,

Reggie Bush - Bush returned his Heisman Trophy following a four-year NCAA investigation that found Bush to be retroactively ineligible for his trophy-winning 2005 season because he and his family accepted impermissible benefits that included cash, travel expenses and a rent-free San Diego-area home.

James Wiseman - Wiseman officially received a 12-game suspension from the NCAA for "recruiting inducements his family received" prior to his enrollment at Memphis.

There are more examples. But next time do your research before you speak on something you know nothing about.

They self-imposed a scholarship reduction last 2 years. They fired the entire coaching staff that was involved including the AD. All the players that was involved transferred out after the Pruitt staff was fired.
