Planning a trip for the Tennessee game next year.

I know we're forecasting here, but just curious of how you project your team to look.

LSU will be young but have a lot of depth on the D-line. Secondary will of course be stacked and the linebackers will be lead by Michael Divinity and Devin White.

Wont bring up the offense, but Guice will be back along with Williams and Brossette.

Lots of unknowns

There's a lot of things for that matter that we don't know about our current team.

Since the game is apparently game 11, we should both have a pretty good feel for what each time is like by game time. Looking forward to it

Dobbs will be graduating and we will likely lose both Hurd and Kamara to the NFL. Should bring back every WR sans Josh Smith. Should return 4/5 on the OL. The QB competition will be between upcoming junior Quinten Dormady and RS FR Jarret Guarantano, who was the #1 dual threat QB in the 2016 class per 247.

Defensively, we will be losing Derek Barnett, Cam Sutton and JRM for sure. We are extremely deep on young defensive talent tho but losing those three will hurt.

Depending on how the QB battle turns out, we could be a 7 win team up to a 10 win team in 2017.

Josh Smith is a RS junior. He'll be back.

He's going pro.

Seriously tho, I thought he was a senior this year. Thanks for the correction

We have to get through this year first. Lots of variables to be determined with NFL departures. We will have talent, just might not be as experienced.

Way too early predictions tell me this would be a toss up. Hell one of us could still tank this season and might have a very different coaching staff by then. It's just way to early to know anything

Offense should look quite a bit different with Dobbs graduating and either Dormady or Jarrett Guarantano taking over. Guarantano is getting a lot of praise as one of the best freshman QBs to come through UT in a long time. He was the #1 DT QB in the 2016 class and IMO, the future of the program. He's got legs like Dobbs but actually excels at throwing the forward pass. I think we will see a lot more of a passing friendly offense regardless if it's Dormady or Guarantano.

We will lose a lot of key guys to the draft or Graduation though. Jalen Reeves-Maybin(OLB), Cam Sutton (CB) Jalen Hurd (RB) Alvin Kamara (RB) Josh Dobbs (QB) Corey Vereen (DE) Derek Barnett (DE) Danny O'Brien (DT)

Pretty much all the Tennessee writers said during fall camp Guarantano has by far the best arm of any of the quarterbacks on campus. I hope he gets the mental part down because the thought of Dormady running this offense makes me cringe.

I do not see Butch making the adjustments needed to tailor this O around a pocket passer imo

I agree completely. I know there's still a lot of people that think Dormady grabs the starting job in 2017 and maybe he does, but I'm not convinced based off of what we've seen so far. The mobility of the QB makes this offense go and I just don't think Dormady has the legs to really get the most out of it. He reminds me more of what Auburn has in Sean White. I think he could still be successful, just not as successful as a true run/throw threat.

I think for as long as Shoop is the DC at UT we will have success on that side of the ball. Excited about what the DL will look like too

They're gonna be national champions. They'll tell you this as soon as the season's over, like they do every offseason.

Nah, we will have question marks at several positions. Probably fair to be viewed as 2nd or 3rd best in the East going into next season with what we lose. Thanks though
