Ive heard he's on your short list, yet read on a couple of boards like you have tons of guys ahead of him.

Lets be real, Gruden isn't leaving MNF, and Chip Kelly is staying out west.

Butch is going to get fired sooner or later, who who is on your realistic short list for HC?

I would think that would be a good hire.

He wouldn't be my first choice but he's a 100 times better than Butch.

Take the list all the fans want and think they should hire and can hire and throw it in the garbage. Then stop worrying about it.

SO were Butch and Dooley "Good Hires"?

Heck I don't even consider Kiffin a "Good Hire"

Once we give up on the "fantasy hires", Gruden, Kelly, Peterson, etc.

Mullen would be in my top 3-5

I think there is the unattainable list, and the attainable list. He would be attainable, but I'm unsure if Mullen would leave MSU for Tennessee unless he just wanted out of the west division.

You go to the East so you don't have to play Saban every year, but then UT has TSIO, so there goes that.

UT doesn't want that non-recruiting scientologist.

They will be way better served by looking elsewhere for Botch's replacement.

Nothing to see here.

Mullen would be the best UT could do.

They will end up with Tee Martin.

It comes down to $$$. Even if we already have the next coach, it's not like he can just start coaching midseason.

Now, I want him gone yesterday, because I'm sick of having to put up with shitty football AND his fricking nauseating press conferences and interviews. But it's not a business decision for me, it's personal.

Mullen is not leaving a school that pays him nearly 5 million dollars a year (and will pay more to keep him if they have to) and build a statue of him if he averages 7/8 wins a year to go to a school that has unrealistic expectations and mediocre in state talent that is going to fire him for not winning the SEC in 5 years. Oh yea, he will just have to play Bama twice a year to get to win any sort of championship too. I bet he is dying to go to a place like that! Mullen will leave for the right job, but Tennessee ain't it. The last 3 hires for Tennessee were nowhere near Mullen quality hires, and I have no idea why they think this one will be different. The job is not what they think it is.

An interim coach will serve you better. I can't imagine keeping the players subject to these stupid gimmicks.
