I thought SEC basketball was going to be the premier conference...
What happened to Will Wade and LSU?
SEC only gets 3-4 teams in the tourney. Tennessee, Auburn, State are the only locks at the moment.

Gonzaga being 1 spot ahead of UNC and Miss.St. 1 spot ahead of ASU makes zero sense.

Out of conference play has been mediocre outside of UT, AU and State. Kentucky will prob win the SEC Basketball Tourney. Outside of that, I dont see any other team capable of making a run thru conference play similar to what UT and AUB did last year. Im sticking with 4 MAX.

I like Arky and LSU's chances. Don't sleep on Florida or Bama's chances either. Vandy and Ole Miss are long shots but will have an opportunity to play their way in during conference play. The other 4, no chance.

There is still time for other teams. Arkansas has a bad loss and one of the best wins for the league currently for example.
Most projections still have 5 teams even if we stay on our predicted course, which is still not great.

Haven't had time to get into basketball yet. How far are we away from being competitive and did something bad happen to Florida?

LSU is one of those cases of a team that has a lot of talent and maybe even the right mix of talent.. just hasn't been able to find its groove yet. There's a chance they don't find it all year and miss the tourney but if they do they could challenge AU and UT and be a top 5 seed or so.

Kentucky likely maybe shouldn't be ranked.
But don't let this distract you from the fact that a Memphis fan was caught shitting inside the concession stand this weekend.

LSU reminds me of the AU team from 3 and 4 years ago. Lot of talent but couldn't play any D.

Nothing... Yet.
Emmett said it'll be after the season is over before the FBI is done and the NCAA can get started preparing their own investigation. Said it could be August before they're truly ready to begin investigating in earnest because they are going to set up a committe just to handle all this.
