Over the last 12 years, LSU Alabama has been the #1 NUMBER ONE, most watched regular season game in college football. Better than Michigan Ohio St or UT OU, it's been LSU Bama.

Over the last 12 years, LSU Bama, has taken the crown I believe something like 7 of those 12 years where it was most watched game of the country that season.

Talent disparity, I mean for every 2 NFL Players Bama has, Tennesee and Auburn only have 1, whereas for ever 1 NFL player Bama has, LSU has 1 as well.

That's the reason it's the most watched regular season game the last 12 years, the talent. People know which team has best athletes. They notice where guys in the League went to school. They watch the draft and see which schools produce.

2011/2 & 2019 had a plethora of players. I'm almost positive for both teams that game, you could create a NFL team and have many second stringers that would be starting on another NFL squad. Perfect example, Joe and Tua. It'd be ridiculous to see the 2019 WR all on 1 team. Chase, Jefferson, Ruggs, Devontae, Terrace Marshall.

WHAT I"M GETTING AT HERE is that when SEC sets schedules in the near soon to maintain rivalries. They should keep LSU Bama over any other. Bama Auburn and Bama UT is just another mid SEC game. No zaa to it. I rest my case.

Do you have any links to back up these claims? I don’t doubt that it’s a highly watched game on certain years but just last year:

Michigan–Ohio State (FOX) 17.1 million
Tennessee–Georgia (CBS) 13.1 million
Alabama-Tennessee (CBS) 11.6 million
Alabama-Ole Miss (CBS) 8.7 million
Ohio State-Penn State (FOX) 8.3 million

You have to go to the SECCG for LSU to rate in the top 5 last season.

LSU-Georgia (SEC Championship) (CBS) 10.9 million

None of LSUs regular season games broke into the top 5.

You’re a new money kid who thinks owning the latest shiny gadget on sale makes you upper class.

TV ratings and talent on the field mean frick all when it comes to the quality and intensity of a rivalry. It can help with intrigue and the performance on the field, but a rivalry is deep due to competitive hatred between two programs.

When LSU and Alabama aren’t in contention of the West crown, no one sees the game as a real rivalry.

Easiest example to prove this is The Egg Bowl. Two smaller programs who rarely are competing for the West, rarely have high TV ratings, and rarely have the number of NFL players Alabama and LSU have - Ole Miss vs Miss St is a bigger rivalry than Alabama vs LSU. The game means more to those two fan bases than any other on the schedule. Because it’s a real rivalry.

WTF are you ranting about? None of this is true.

Average viewership the last 10 meetings:
Auburn-Alabama: 10.218 million
LSU- Alabama: 9.417

The Iron Bowl is the #1 rivalry in all of sports, and the only college football game that equals or exceeds it in terms of viewership is Michigan-Ohio St…. Mainly due to the fact they have 4 giant media markets combined compared to just one in Alabama.

Another drunk coonass(2:00 am thread) trying to drag his team up to the same level as The Tide. It's always embarrassing to watch when it happens.
