Do Arkansas fans really need to chime in on this thread? Everyone knows the answer.

For me, I'm gonna have to say Matt Luke. Dude was a parasite that we couldn't get rid of due to his family connections within the University. Most of us wanted him fired when he was the OL coach, just due to how shitty of a position coach he was. Add on to that how lazy he was.

When we hired Orgeron as a HC, Matt Luke actually bolted because Coach O was "too demanding of his time for recruiting". Luke left to go to Duke to coach the OL under Coach Cutcliffe. While at Duke, their OL play dropped, and we was actually gonna get fired, and managed to use his family connections to get hired back at Ole Miss.

When Freeze "resigned", rumors started up that the Luke family was pushing hard to get Matt the HC position. Most of us laughed about that, knowing how lazy he was and how bad of a position coach he was. But, the Luke family, along with their friends, pressured Bjork (who was leaving, and didn't really care anymore) into not only naming him the HC, but giving him a ridiculous salary for a first time HC.

One thing that I've noticed since we are free of him is that our OL play actually improves throughout the year. Normally, we'd get lucky and land one good lineman, and if he ever got injured, we'd be screwed. Our OL play usually got worse as the season went along.

Luke was a tough player (as was his brother), but as a coach - he was a total dud. He doesn't like to spend time recruiting (life blood of any program) and we never saw our line play actually improve under him, nor see any linemen actually develop under him.

is the only one out. The rest should play Sat.

I do think CNS screwed up and kept him 5 years too long, but the new guys are out of the park hires. Soft tissue injuries were down 50% last year compared to 2019. Will Anderson's testing #'s are up 38% from last year

There’s really only one HC I’m glad is gone and that’s Fran.

For assistants, malzzone and mark snyder.

Coming back from injury, though, right?

I mean, it's possible, but I'm not sure I would (personally) second guess Nick Saban. He seems to make the right moves at the right time most of the time, and rarely allows personal feelings get in the way of keeping an underperforming coach.

I am not the only one raising this issue. Several former players claim Cochran/Saban over conditioned them to the point that they would be gassed and their bodies trashed by the end of the season and post season.

Also Cochran never made any monsters in the weight room. The freaks he had came to UA already freaks like Bozeman, JWilliams, Darren Lake etc. christ J Williams was squatting 600 pounds and benching 450 in ther 10th grade

Dennis Franchione because he was a liar with no intestinal fortitude, and Saban is way more better.
