I guess this is a great time to mention to our new Horn and Sooner overlords that great SEC games are instantly nicknamed. The nicknames become a part of the lore of the game itself. People instantly know what you're talking about when you say the nickname.

Examples:
Punt, Bama, Punt
Earthquake Game
Miracle on Markham
Bluegrass Miracle
The Kick Six
4th and 25
The Piss and Miss

Pretty sure 6 out of 8 dlineman that played were injured and questionable. If true it shows why they didn't want to play that week

How bad did the 2011 NC game break tRant?

It lasted for years. LSU fans had massive infighting- anyone looking for positives was cast as a 'sunshine pumper' and was hated by the ones still salty about it. Eventually it turned into an overwhelming anti-Alabama sentiment, at which point they became 'dickriders' and counting on other teams to beat Alabama, and the ones still upset about 2011 called them out as such. Everything started to quiet down after the 2013 game.

At some point I guess people got over it, or it sank in after 10 straight games that LSU wasn't going to get their 'revenge'

Some great ones involving LSU baseball:
Rally possum
Skipisms
LSU once had a pair of identical twins on the starting roster while one nearly set the NCAA record for number of times hit by a pitch.
LSU tall outfielder hitting the deck after a lightning strike hit the foul pole. He proceeded to literally crawl back to the dugout because he was the tallest guy on the team and afraid he’d get struck.
Warren Morris’s Walk-off HR win in the bottom of the 9th of the 97 CWS

LSU basketball:
Hack a shaq
Muhammed Abdul Rauf raising the black power fist at the Olympics
A complete inability to shoot free throws prior to Will Wade becoming head coach
Strong arse offer
The Ice Dome game against Kentucky

Football:
The bluegrass miracle
Billy Cannon’s Halloween run
Chinese Bandits defense
STTD;B
Lee vs Jefferson QB controversy
2006 LSU vs Auburn, known as “Ref Gate”
2005 “home” game at Arizona St
2009 Ole Miss “clock it” game, aka the Meltdown in Mississippi
2007 Florida going for it successfully on 4th down over and over again
2008 Troy Angels in the Upper deck as LSU comes back from the largest deficit to win in school history
Anthony Jennings and the 99 yard drive against Arkansas
Zach Mett as Ron Bergundy
Kicker Colby Delahousey interviewing the team
Mo Isom kicker tryouts
Jamarcus Russel throwing for 80 yards on his knees.
2010 Tennessee and the 2010 Heart Attack Tigers team in general
LSU going like 40 years with out a kickoff return for a TD at home.
Les-isms
The 2016 Florida reschedule debacle
Florida throws a shoe
Punter brad wing flagged for taunting
LSU walk-off TD @Florida as the drum major nearly falls out the stands
LSU bounce lateral fake field goal
The win or go home against Auburn in 2016
Leonard Fornette just absolutely destroying dudes with stiff arms
The 2018 LSU vs A&M game that was stolen by officials like 12 different times before Aggie finally managed to win in like the 8th OT.

Derek Doolander and the Vols would have beaten LSU in 2010, but they had 14 players on the field when LSU snapped the ball over the QB's head on the "final" play of the game, giving LSU one more untimed down that they won the game on.

SPURRIER vs NAMATH 1964

In 1963-64, Florida only had 5 SEC games scheduled while SEC required six to be eligible for the title. FL coach Ray Graves

…(bought my parents house when they moved to Gainesville..had two excellent daughters - yes I have pictures, no will not share)

…called Coach Bryant ask to play in 1963 and 1964 to fill out Florida’s schedule. Coach Bryant agreed but required both games to be played in Tuscaloosa.,

In 1964 Florida with Spurrier as QB played Alabama with Namath (replaced by Steve Sloan in 1st Q after being hurt. Florida had upset Alabama 10-6 the year before in the first game of the series.

Alabama was down but came back in 4th Q to take 17-14 lead with 3 minutes to go. In those closing minutes Spurrier was rocked, almost knocked out, but drove to the AL 6 with one minute to go. He apparently forgot they had no timeouts left and ran FB Johnny Feiber (my class my high school) into the line for only a two yard gain.

Spurrier was reeling and frittered away time… FL had to rush the kicker onto the field and with time running out he missed the tieing FG that would have prevented AL from winning the NC.

Coach Bryant was asked what would have happened it the kick was true…he said “we would have blocked it.”

Spurrier never explained what happened on the 6 line other than to say he thought they had a time out left.

For a long time this was regarded as one of Alabama’s greatest comebacks because of what ultimately was at stake.

But the ball was not because Julio touched it while being out of bounds.

LSU "INT" vs Alabama

Pause the video at 47 seconds and you can see Julio is touching the ball, and his right foot is on the ground. That makes it an incomplete pass.

It's not football related, but Tennessee sucks, so I'll bring up their "butt chugging" scandal from 2012 - 13.

How can we forget?
