I don't blame us for storming the field in 2001. We were suppose to get demolished by a No. 2 UF. I can remember Corso saying we had absolutely no chance before the game. Our defense played their asses off.

You only tear down goal posts when you didn't expect to win......hence, Alabama has never had a goal post torn down......bitches....

Some Bama fans stormed the field after thd 90 Iron Bowl win. Bham PO-PO roughed many of them up with batons and mace. Pretty scary scene for awhile. it wasn't thd entire student section, only about 100-200 folks.
I remember watching Auburn fans tear the goalposts down in 97 after beating a 4-6 Bama team.
I was at that 97 LSU/UF game. Pretty crazy I saw goalposts come down twice in thd same year st different stadiums.

I can't remember the last time Florida ripped the goal posts? 1984 Cocktail Party?

There are two themes in this thread:
1. Florida is the common denominator
2. Alabama and Florida fans don't rush the field.
Obvious who the Goliath's of the SEC are.

The fans that didn't do it in 1997 vs FSU need to be shot. Perfect opportunity.

We are Florida, we don't need to tear up our own stadium and field, let the small fry programs and rednecks destroy their own property.

Uk has done it a bunch..... uga 2006, lsu 2007, louisville 2007. Maybe usc 2011. Huge fines and yes i know we have no foot ball class.
Its tough to do it now. They have collapsible goals now.

You Tube vid of game highlights and the post coming down & out the stadium
skip to 3:52 for the goal posts coming down. They carried it out of the stadium, up the hill across campus and down the big arse hill to Dickson St. which is probably a solid 1.5 mile jaunt.
Those were the good days of partying on Dickson and not getting arrested for any tiny thing.

I'm pretty sure we did after beating Florida in 2004? I'm not 100% on he year but I know we did

I think we tore them down every home game in '99. Way too many last second victories...

One of the brightest spots of the 90's nadir for program, another being the 93 'when pigs fly' game against UA.

I honestly can't recall A&M ever tearing down goalposts.

2000 SC/#9UGA. We had just broken our 21-game losing streak the week before.

If I'm not mistaken I think LSU tore them down after the UGA game in 03.
they have come down after uf 97, ut 00, bama 00
some people rushed the field after auburn 01 but no goal post came down.

See my post above.
There was somewhat of a field rushing by Bama fans after the 1990 Iron Bowl. It was short lived, and only about 100-200 people if my memory is correct.
That's the only instance I can recall.

2003...
Nope.
2001: Auburn wins in Jordan-Hare on last-second FG
2002: UF wins in OT when Cadillac Williams got hurt, but Ronnie Brown(?) ran all over
