There were some snickering from TAMU fans about Rick Big D Barnes.
I think he is something like 27-7 vs. TAMU in basketball.

always liked barnes and have been more complimentary of him than some vol fans. dont know WTF youre talking about

Rick Barnes is a damn good coach, but I truly believed he underachieved at Texas. He should have had a top 3 class consistently and won at least one title. He was a regular in the Sweet 16 as he should have been.

He was always good never great. Could recruit but never really developed or kept them around long enough. This is all relative.

I have made fun of him, but not anything about his basketball success. There was a long running joke among Aggies that started when Barnes had a press release at one point while at Texas denying he was taking a job.
It was a job he wasn't being considered for. So the big thing we used to joke about was to race to post a denial that he is looking at any job that opened up.
Good coach, albeit he seemed to underachieve some over in Austin.
