I wasn't able to go to the Sugar Bowl this year but all the UGA folks I know who went down to NOLA said the Baylor fans were good people.
That game is on SECN right now so it reminded me.
Just wondering what your experiences are with Baylor fans...

Take Vandy fans but make them a lot dumber and less successful/wealthy and you have your answer
The plus is they care about sports a little bit more

They're fine people. Aggy is still pissed they painted their barn green and gold several times. That's all.

I don’t rate them.

They've had some scandals in bball and FB, but damn, what they've done in the big three sports in the last decade or so is impressive for a small private school. TCU is even smaller and much more exclusive I believe, much more FB success then Baylor but nothing in other sports I'm aware of

TCU and Baylor are pretty similar academically. Baylor is definitely in a golden era athletics wise

When they came to Kyle, refused to clap for injured Aggies.

Baylor has some good folks.

Have neighbors who are all in with Baylor. Great people. That's all I got.
FTR, know fans IRL from Bama. Aub, UF, OM, State, and A&M. All just class acts.

4th best private school in the state.

Yeah no question for me. Rice is very different from the other three so I’ll take them out of the equation but if I were choosing between them it’s
TCU
Small gap
SMU
Huge gap
Baylor
As far as academic programs SMU is tops then TCU and Baylor are close. TCU probably has the edge. But just on where I’d want to attend give me Fort Worth, TCU coeds and a more well adjusted student body without all the northerners at SMU

I don’t think I’ve ever bothered to look around at opposing fans to see their reaction when a Tiger gets up.
You must be a pussy

I’ve partied hard with Baylor peeps. They are good folks. The new stadium allows for some cool tailgating as well.

I have been to a couple of Texas Tech Baylor games and both fan bases seemed like good people. They are like everyone else in the big 12 though they aren’t too into the game and if there team ain’t got the ball they couldn’t tell you what is going on on the field. Spent a great evening in a very nice hotel bar in Lubbock once when Baylor was in town....we had a ball with the Baylor folks. Seemed like good people. I paid dearly the next morning in a goose blind though.....

So SMU isn't demographically what it was in the "Our maids go to UT" days?

The people at Baylor are fine. The Baylor Bears fans are a different category.
They think they should be considered Texas's "flagship school" just like basically every Power 5 school in the state. It's just more annoying considering they have far less claim to it. They basically only accomplish one thing every 10 years, and many of the other years they're not even mediocre, but just garbage.
And while they've been good, and sometimes even elite in certain sports since the turn of the last decade, it's widely believed that they "sold their soul" to achieve those heights. Mulkey, Scott Drew and especially Briles are the most synonymous people associated with that foul play, and they're also the three people that have enjoyed the most success at that school.
This was highlighted by the football scandal in 2016. While the entire nation considered the situation as deplorable and hypocritical coming from that school of all places, their fans thought Briles never did anything wrong and that he was unfairly targeted. And many fans carried that belief after he was dismissed... until they were successful on the field again this year. Then they all forgot about Briles. Again - seemed a tad hypocritical.
I didn't have much disdain for Rhule, but it was evident fairly early into his tenure that this would be a stepping stone should he ever have the chance to leave for greener pastures. I'm glad he did. He looked like a good coach in the making.

You would consider Tech to have fantastic fans if you're not their enemy.
Tech fans suffer from some very negative stereotypes, some earned and some not, but you cannot deny they're passionate. Their football team is pits, so they don't really give a shite currently, but their baseball and basketball fans travel to Austin like it's their bowl game in football. It's admirable.
But if they win, which to be honest is not often, they'll show you their arse in the process

Now that we don’t play them I find myself rooting for Tech a lot. They’re hilarious from afar and very passionate

Neither are exclusive, unless you mean expensive schools for median students who can’t get into Rice, Texas, or A&M
