I wouldn’t trust an Alabama high school football coach to give me the time of day

I know a coach in Alabama and they are expecting to start the season on time and have a full season. As long as the schools are open, there will be football. He did say games may not have spectators if the trend continues.

It's already been decided that this will absolutely not happen in Tennessee. Two or three options, but all involve about a three-week delay and a shortened season.

Sounds like the coach you talked to is dumb or doesn't have friends, because he wasn't clued in to what the AHSAA said today.

quote:

After a pair of AHSAA committee meetings on Tuesday, the 2020 high school football season seems to be still on schedule for a late-August start.

“I think we are in a good situation,” Theodore football coach and athletic director Eric Collier said. “I like what we are doing as far as being full steam ahead. Everything is on schedule. We are going forth and the local school systems will make any changes if there are to be any. Right now, however, the state says we are going to play just like any other season.”

Collier is a member of the Football Coaches Committee which, along with the Fall Sports Committee

“We are going to play football
,” said Blount head football coach and athletic director Lev Holly, also a member of the football committee.

if alabama is serious about reopening schools next month, then it will have atleast two-three weeks of highschool football public schools in alabama without football would be boring as frick. if alabama schools say no football majority of students will stick with online

I went to a private school. but a buddy of mine transferred to public school a year before graduation he said his only reason for doing was so he could "play football and check out the cheerleaders"
