These are opponent adjusted stats. Rushing for 100 yards against UMass does not carry the same weight as rushing for 100 yards against Oklahoma. One of them is clearly much more impressive and these stats reflect that.

Do they adjust for rivalry games and for games where a team checked out? Example: Georgia vs Florida where Florida would have been a much tougher opponent than what Kentucky faced.

OU has said all year they have the toughest schedule in history and yet their sec wins are Auburn, South Carolina, Tenn. all 3 or more losses

Also Mizzou and LSU won’t be ranked. It’s not that hard of a schedule.

That rating can actually go up as a result of playing good teams, even if they lose as long as they play well. And it can go down even in a win if you don't play well.

Really? Or playing bad teams doesn’t harm you at all…

Indiana played the following in OOC:
Old Dominion
Kennesaw State
Indiana State

Nope, that's the downside of stats.

OSU is a joke. Same story different season for that bunch. They play no one just about year in and year out. There is one elite conference in college football, and we know who that is.

It doesn't use averages, those schools just don't provide value.

Oregon, Iowa and Penn St do.

Ok. So ignore non-conf games entirely for Indiana.

If winning at Penn State adds value due to preseason perception. Then so does winning at LSU and Missouri. Iowa is Auburn with better QB play.

Notre Dame OOC adds value as well being a current playoff team.

They aren't ignored, they just don't give much value because the chance to lose to them is nothing. If you play tougher teams, then those teams will have more value and your schedule will be stronger.

These are just stats, they have no preseason or previous bias. You look at wins and losses for Penn St, but for the most part their losses have been close losses against decent teams.

Just seems like you are making excuses for A&M.

Toughest. Wisconsin. Record 2-6
Next toughest. Penn st. Record 3-6

Very weak OSU record 8-0
Very weak Indian record 10-0

Yes there is an inverse bias……

Top teams can't play themselves. However, you can bet at the end of the year the top teams will end up with the toughest schedules as they start playing each other.

Then what will your excuse be?

Also, what was your excuse last year when Georgia had a top3 SoS and was 11-2? Where was the bias then?

Who have Oregon and Indiana played besides each other?

It's fine if you think Simpson shouldn't win the Heisman, but I'm sick of the Sayin and Mendoza suck fest when neither has played shite.

The media orgasm over Mendoza throwing a winning TD against a team that's lost 6 in a row is laughable.

Apparently Iowa is providing a real boost. They must be better than I thought.

Auburn plays the toughest schedule in the league?

… this would only be like the 14th time in the past 15 seasons.

They play other top teams. It's not a coincidence by the end of the year the top teams will have played the toughest schedules. Because the playoffs are going to put top teams against each other.

You know what school ended up with the #1 SOS last year after the playoffs? Ohio St. Texas had a weak as shite schedule in the regular season, but played in the SECCG, then 2 games in the playoffs. Ended up #8 in the country. Georgia #4.

You're just crying because of Oklahoma's position.

Indiana has played Iowa and Penn St.

I'm not sure about the rest of what you're talking about. I think the Heisman is a stupid award and don't give a shite who wins it.
