I rarely start threads, but I saw on the typical KSR feed that Mark Stoops might be a candidate for Auburn.
What if I threw in a good shotgun ? Would that seal the deal ? Would I have to up it ?
Now - don't flirt and get him eight or nine million. But if you're interested ? I'm interested. Take him. Take Vince Marrow too.

Stoops is the only reason people know Kentucky has a football team. Losing him would put Kentucky closer to Vandy than South Carolina and Mizzou

He's hung around a while. And he's scheduled more MAC programs than any coach in Kentucky history.
Which helped, back in the day. You had to hit six wins to get a Weed Eater Bowl to get the extra practice.
As far as Xs and Os ? He's no Jerry Claiborne, in all honesty. Jerry did much more with much less.

Stoops is Tubby Smith. Everybody in the SEC loved Tubby Smith. ESPN loved him.
Nobody flexed a check to hire him, when Kentucky was done, however.
Mark Stoops will be the same. Its cool, kinda', that Kentucky is only losing by almost 40 to Tenner. Just not so cool that any other school in the conference wants him.
OK ... I'll "sleep it off". That's the phrase that means "just shut up, I don't want to hear it".

Look at Kentucky Football's record ... starting at Ole Miss and forward.
Embrace reality. The reality of a losing team. They caught a shitty Florida team at home. After that ?
Its a comment on how bad Napier is at Florida. And a comment on how delusional Kentucky Fans are. Maybe the loss at Mizzou will get your attention.

But its a Gordian Knot. Mark Stoops is where he is because Vince Marrow is the recruiter. Yet ... Vince Marrow can never be a head coach anywhere, because he can't do it.
And yet ... Kentucky has more talent than ever, this year. A supposed first round QB. A hammerhead RB. A TE room that supposedly is only behind Georgia's.
Who don't I want at Kentucky ? Seems like Xs and Os can only get better.
