Steve Ensminger: The Most Innovative Coordinator in College Football

Ed O once said that he would only hire the best coordinators in the game, and he wasn't lying. What Steve Ensminger has done with the LSU thus far is nothing short of incredible. Rather than the usual toss dive for one yard against a stacked line, he has implemented a half back dive to the left which he runs religiously on the first two plays of every dive.
Then, on third down, though we are only in a two WR set that looks reminiscent of the NCAA 09 Wii offense, he runs both men deep while Joe Burrow scrambles out of the pocket for four yards. Of course, this is expected againts defensive juggernauts such as SE Louisiana who we scored 31 on. By the way, we only had 35% of the O installed. We comin Auburn!

The irony is that pretty much every LSU fan who bitches about the offense can't even describe basic terminology properly and quickly exposes their own lack of knowledge

So you think the stretch play is actually a "dive"
And I suppose you think blocking schemes cannot be mixed up to make several plays look like the same first reads to the linebackers and set them up for failure
Steve Ensminger has forgotten more than you and your daddy and your granddaddies going back 14 generations ever knew

I think we can open up a little bit. I think the positive thing that we did in West Virginia, I think we were somewhere around 50 percent on third downs, completion rate. If we can do that, that's pretty good. I think we just need to continue what we're doing and just open it up a little bit more.
We definitely are building back up. It wasn't so much just cutting a lot of things out. It was just we had the stuff that we could run, but we just kind of stuck to the basics and ran the stuff that we're really good at. I think the coaches as well as the players have a sense that we can get it done. We saw that in the first half of the West Virginia game, that we can open it up a little more.

So he's been saving those last 5 or 6 plays just for us?
I am worried.

LSU is power football they don’t need a gimmicky high school offense to win like Auburn

Dude hopped into a time machine in the 50’s and fell out of it in BR in 2018.
