I still can’t believe THREE guys were that close to making a catch and if anyone do it’s a World Series championship...and they all drop it. That kid that charged in like a bull has to think about this every day.

Cronin didn't have it that night and was struggling throwing strikes. A lot of emphasis was put on that pop up but even if that never happened then nothing would have prevented the base hit that led to getting OSU the lead for good. We had our chances to win after that inning but the life was sucked out of that team and didn't show up to play in the third game.

I was at that game, sitting on the 1st baseline. That ball dropped a few feet in front of me.
I told my wife right then that I was scared that was the end of our chances. Unfortunetly I was right.
