The hot rumor today on Arkansas boards is that he’s the leader in the clubhouse for our DC opening. I need to hear only positive vibes about how amazing he was while there.

Collins will come up with some super trendy acronyms and hashtags and have them printed on hats.

He is basically Butch Jones except even gimmickier and Derek Mason except even cornier.

I’m going to be honest with you Jack that you seem more like a Georgia fan than a State fan. Let’s try and follow the rules next time. Thanks.

Just an FYI Sgt but DC stands for Defensive Coordinator and not Head Coach. We’ve already got a head coach that likes his own trendy hashtags and cold beer. Geoff won’t be that guy here. Appreciate your honesty though.

In his short tenure at Tech, he had his players lifting weights ON THE FIELD PRIOR TO GAMES!

Dude's off his nut.

We once had a coach have our players lift weights on top of the stadium. Everyone knows when the racks go up the freaks come out.

He ruined our shot at the playoffs in 2014 because he took another job before the egg bowl and did nothing to prepare the defense for that game so we lost. And of course lost the orange bowl too

frick him

He reportedly made his players dance like go go dancers - the juice squad- on the sideline. They were apparently graded on their energy and “juice”. Not enough “juice” and they might not play. He didn’t believe in starting lineups. Had something he called ATL. As in above the line. No one could quite figure out what all this meant. You never saw him without his chubby middle aged body stuffed into his skinny jeans, man vest complete with hoodie, and no socks waving a Waffle House cup. He created Waffle House Wednesdays and a ridiculous money down that sometimes featured fake dollar bills with his fat face on them thrown into the air. And the list goes on and on. Water slides, ice cream days and DJs deafening GT fans with his idea of cool music, etc.
Tech came to loathe him and his gimmicks. Doubt that? Check out the SWARM website - go back on a few years on the site and read what was being said about him by Tech fans. He would have been fired years earlier if the fans had their way and money disadvantaged Tech could have afforded it . If you like gimmicks, weights on the sidelines, go go dancing players and a coach who blames others for losses he is definitely the guy for you. He won a grand total of 3 games in each of 3 years and still claimed his team was elite. Just like Bama! He was good for laughs though.

I appreciate your passionate response but that was a lot of words to not answer the actual question.

Now we’re talking. I like a coach that knows how to defeat a team with a playoff shot.

Not all of that was his fault but yes, taking another job like that was shitty.

We were undefeated until late in the season where injuries caught up to us. That was part of the issue as well. But he did a decent job while he WAS at state.

If you want him. Hire him. It will only make it easier for teams to beat y’all. It’s fine by me. We UGA fans enjoyed all the drama he created around the Tech program. His coaching wasn’t much to write home about and he benefited by GTs ACC membership. The last 2 years with him as HC Georgia beat Tech by a total of a 100-0 points.
Does that sound good to you? Sounds really good to me. Go for it

He might be a terrible HC but the question he was asking was he being a DC.

We have all seen DC's become head coaches and totally fail. Also GT is a dumpster fire.

Loved him at UF. We still had a top 10 defense in 2015 and 2016 even when the offense sucked arse after Grier got suspended.
