Only person on the list who I could make an argument for is Michael Jordan or Jim Brown. Everyone had great accomplishments but in terms of athletic ability, Bo is second to none. Too bad for injuries

It must have been "The greatest athlete of all time, if you don't count Dave Winnfield." Because Dave Winnfield is the greatest athlete of all time.

Would have been Jim Brown but he wouldn't do an interview for the segment

I appreciate it but while I had my moments in high school I don't think I'm quite in Bo's class

If you mean the greatest athlete of all time who never won anything, then yeah I agree

Made me spit out my Dr Pepper. DW was garbage, one of the worst Yankees ever. 3000 meaningless hits, damn him.

What about Jesse Owens or Jim Thorpe?

Those two would have ranked higher, but they didn't want to give an interview for the segment.

If you're going to make an argument for Jim Thorpe you're going to have had to have seen him play

Certainly didn't win the '86 Cotton Bowl.

No argument here, Bo was simply the best athlete I've ever seen and it's not even close

Well then let's change the argument to "greatest ATH since the invention of film" then, because that eliminates anyone before that happened.

Was that pic taken before or after Bo's 202 yard performance?

Found this on wiki about Jesse Owens:

quote:

He tried to make a living as a sports promoter, essentially an entertainer. He would give local sprinters a ten- or twenty-yard start and beat them in the 100-yd (91-m) dash. He also challenged and defeated racehorses; as he revealed later, the trick was to race a high-strung thoroughbred that would be frightened by the starter's shotgun and give him a bad jump. Owens said, "People say that it was degrading for an Olympic champion to run against a horse, but what was I supposed to do? I had four gold medals, but you can't eat four gold medals."[23]
