Dr. Earl
She nicely ridicules Big10/Pac12's use of myocarditis concerns as one of reasons to cancel season. She says myocarditis definitely a serious condition, but known for decades and easily screened. She, Dr. Earl, gives in-depth interview, but need to listen to full interview, audio only.

* I support the SEC/ACC/Big 12 in moving forward. Here’s why:
*The medical care & monitoring makes football programs the safest place
*There’s been published screening guidance on myocarditis in athletes since early June
*”Long-term risks” still won’t be known in the spring
Her twitter page, where she posts numerous tweets for why it's safe to play this fall: Dr. Earl Twitter page

quote:
“We always look for it after viral infections,” Dr. Catherine O’Neal told The Athletic on Friday afternoon. “We are always attuned to the fact that that can happen so this is not surprising to us. We’re ready. We’re prepared to look for myocarditis and feel comfortable in the knowledge of what happens to somebody who does get it and what we need to do. There is some really good evidence in sports medicine behind how to recover from myocarditis as an athlete. Our plans reflect that.”
This is from one of the members on the SEC medial guidance task force. I think the SEC is ready to play.

Good enough for me. The whole myocarditis thing was horseshite from the word go.

Good that she is speaking out. Too much fear mongering.

As she mentions there are multiple virus’s that can cause the same condition and we didn’t shut down for those on the 0.003% chance.
