Last guy I remember dressing up for games was Jim Tressel .. Ohio St. He didn’t wear a sports jacket though. Just dressed pretty sharp.

Stallings was last one in jacket and tie that I really remember.

Glad to see it.

I thought Stallings may have been the last one.

I still remember when DuBose tried it for 1 season before realizing he looked like a damn fish out of water

When Belichick used to coach for the Browns, he dressed like *this* and won approximately zero championships:

Then he went to the Patriots and started dressing like *this* and won several:

So, my question is...

Did you always know you were gay, or did you only realize it after you grew up and noticed you were overly concerned with men's fashion?

That is an understatement.

At least he tried to look good doing it.

The last coach to wear a suit and tie on the sidelines (that I can remember) was Mike Nolan in San Fransisco. And, in typical NFL corporatist style, the league made him wear a REEBOK suit because coaches were required to wear Reebok.

quote:

Mike Nolan and Jack Del Rio are ready to suit up.

The San Francisco coach and his Jacksonville counterpart have the NFL's permission to wear dress suits designed by Reebok during
two games this season.

Nolan is expected to debut his old-school outfit -- a black suit, a white shirt and a red-and-gold-striped tie -- at the 49ers' home game against Seattle on Sunday. Del Rio also will wear a suit-and-tie ensemble in Monday night's home game against the Giants.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the 49ers coach has permission to "test-drive" the suit at two games this season.

"Working with Reebok, they were able to come up with something that should work for him," McCarthy said.

Nolan first broached the idea shortly after he was hired by the 49ers in 2005. He believes the ensemble will project an image of authority while also honoring his father, Dick, the 49ers' coach from 1968-75, and Hall of Fame coaches such as Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi.

But the NFL couldn't immediately give permission, citing its lucrative outfitting contract with Reebok. Nolan has worn pullovers and polo shirts during his tenure, but has worked with Reebok's designers to come up with the natty ensemble he's expected to show off Sunday.

The fact you hicks in Arkansas wear overalls to church and funerals. Does not mean the rest of us dress for cotton balling on a daily basis.

That might be the most. Random period placement I’ve ever seen.

Wow, your reply seems overly bitter. Is there a reason for that ?

Bitter?

You sucked a bad BLM dick or something. You should contact your primary care physician immediately.

Bitter...the stupidity on this board never ceases to amaze.

That jacket is right out of the late 40's or early 50's!

Either that is vintage or the adage of if you wait long enough it will come back in style has come full circle.

Do you really not know the difference between coaching the Browns and the Pats?
