Auburn never offered. He came to campus and visited, but nothing more. There was also rumor of him wanting roughly 350-450k, and quite honestly he isn’t worth that much.
Auburn’s side has been saying for weeks it would be Ole Miss and that if the QB position was addressed, it would happen post-spring when the portal opened back up.

Same reason McCall returned to Coastal Carolina and didn’t transfer to Auburn or Florida, even after visiting.

Nothing really shocking about it. Who was actually after Sanders other than Ole Miss?
Gundy wouldn’t let him back on the team after he bailed before the bowl game (its been reported he wanted to withdraw from the portal), and he didn’t have other choices.

Kind of surprising to me, too. He's had some injury history but is otherwise physically very capable. Just not as consistent as I thought he'd grow to become after watching him his true freshman year.
Don't think he'll beat Dart, and the jury is still out on Walker, but I doubt he'll comfortably beat him on the depth chart either.

Was Auburn even pursuing recently? There has been zero talk about him on the AU boards the last couple of weeks and most of the writers said we probably weren't going to offer.
