SP+ hates Texas - has them ranked as a fringe Top 25 team

Had Texas at #31 entering the season

Makes sense though; one score wins against the likes of Tulsa, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor, and Texas Tech last year

This team is better though, and the advanced metrics models should like Texas more as the season goes on

Bama will get pinned for a safety?? Did you leave off a digit?

LSU winning by that margin does not surprise me. texass scoring 28 and losing by that margin would. I'm expecting texass to score less and LSU to score less. Have LSU by 10.

Rick Neuheisal picked A&M to beat Clemson for what it's worth.

Hot damn. I think both of us said 38-24. I feel vindicated.

It doesn't default to 0, 3, 7 so when it's a massive mismatch you'll get weird small numbers.

I'm curious why you think that. You replace the vast majority of your defense, lost some incredible wr talent, and very limited on # of rbs.

I think LSU wins but I don't expect a blow out. Texas will be a team that gets much better as the season progresses and the new starters get more experience.

Yea, always thought SP+ plays a little high on the total points early in the year

What was the SP + Picks for Week 1? So you can compare the two and get an idea if they were good or not for that first week picks.
