There you go. Science, bitches.

Where’s the science on the worst teams with $100,000 coaches? I’m guessing 2022 aTm is pretty high

factors that identified as being highly correlated with winning: efficiency, explosiveness

Over the past few years, I think these two metrics alone have been among the best predictors of success in college football.

All I know is Georgia only had to beat the 2nd best team in the SEC West,
That's crazy. I didn't know the SEC West division winner was on probation and couldnt play in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.

I believe it was determined that most every major CFP contender averages a Yards per Play > 2.00 all season.

The overall SP+ rating is a weighted average of the five factors.

This is like when Gumps leaned on QBR (another nonsensical stat that is just a combination of random bs) as a way of saying Mac Jones was better than Joe Burrow

Fact: If you need “muh advanced metrics” to convince others that your team was good - thennnn your team probably wasn’t actually that good

Greatest team and season in the history of the conference.

Smallest sample size in the history of the playoff era, too, since they beat a tOSU team who only played 6 games and won at 13-0.

They lost to Florida State and TAMU, and got blown out by Tennessee. You won't convince many people that they were best in the West.

“LSU's bad defense for two thirds of the season hurt them big time. “

This. LSU had a prolific offense that was out of this world but that defense just gave up way too many points. If you want to talk about the offense being the greatest you have an argument but best TEAM, no.

5. 2008 Florida (99.4)
6. 2018 Clemson (99.2)
7. 2019 LSU (99.1)

Only thing I take away from this is that there isn't nearly as much separation between teams as most fans tend to think there is.

Literally all are 99+ percentile.

Actually, you're the one who said that.

Year before that they only had to beat a neutered Clemson and go 1-1 vs bama

Our defense was bad first half because of a lot of injuries. Also, it was bad because after we were up 30-3 or whatever at halftime, they slacked around because it was over.

Sorry friend , sorry. Sometimes when that change-up pitch comes crawling over the plate, I can't resist.
