it could go either way IMO NCAA is going to have to punish all equally or not at all with how widespread this is and how far it goes back. If thye pick and choose who to punish like they tend to do then those punished would easily win in an appeal process. However i tend to agree its coming down.

I’m actually glad we started this.

Cheaters do win. The best ones just don’t get caught.

Now we know how to clean up our tracks.

Or we do as the big banks, pay a fine and keep on moving at 100mph

auburn hired Bruce Pearl, you figure out how stupid this thread is.

I'm sure you won't get it, but try.

Everytime something like this goes down, I can't help but think about what a stupid penalty vacating accomplishments is. The NCAA can tell them to take down the banner and not print it in media guides, but we all watched the tournament; we know what happened, so what does it mean actually?

Bruce Pearl has never payed a player like South Carolina does (unless you come from a place where BBQ=cash).
In fact Pearl has was working with the NCAA over 25 years ago to help bring down and punish p4p schemes.

Bruce Pearl is a beacon of morality in this CBB world that is so lost right now. If BP isn't tCOY lock now, there is no justice in this world.

The university didnt pay him an agent with no affiliation to the university paid him...to try to lure him to sign with him which PJ did not do he signed with Kevin Bradbury of a completely different agency

And every time someone says that I wonder what their alternate idea for punishment is? Let it slide? Nope. Make them wear tags that say cheating cheaters?

Something has to happen- is it all about future penalties or what? If so, that’s fine but something has to give and some will argue it’s not the current players fault.

I'm just giving out some shite after Auburn has take so much over this. Relax. That would be pretty dumb of me to believe South Carolina itself was involved, when Auburn had basically the same thing happen with Chuck Persons working for an agent to try and lure our best players away from school?

South Carolina, Auburn, and a lot of these schools involved really didn't benefit from any of this. We were victims to the agents and coaches involved. That's why it sucks even worse for schools like South Carolina who may have to pay the price anyway and vacate games because y'all unknowingly played ineligible players.

It means six SEC teams have made it to the Final Four: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and Mississippi State

Big 6.

Show causes for the coaches involved and ineligibility for current Players who broke the rules I think is the most effective punishment, especially for instances like this where they are not uncovering systemic cheating within programs but rather individual players (and, in some cases, assistant coaches) taking money from agents.
