South Carolina fans, what do you expect this year?

Is making as bowl games good enough. I know you'd like to win 9 or 10 but that's hard even for teams that recruit at an elite level. The east is tougher than it gets credit for. I think 8 wins would be solid next year. Defense should be pretty damn good especially on the line. Thoughts?

It has occurred to me that maybe God cursed us with the coronavirus for the sole purpose of keeping SC fans in misery for one more year.

Probably not, but you never know.

I expect Muschamp and Ray Tanner will be fired in the next year.

Yep. Tanner will use the 'rona as an excuse to give him yet another year.

You mean Dabo cursed us since apparently he and God are one and the same.

Expectation will be around 6 wins. 8 wins would be unbelievable with our schedule next year. I hope Muschamp is gone after this year though. UNC and App State losses last year were totally unacceptable.

Need 7-8 wins regular season.

If we win 6 they'll keep everyone and talk like that's "progress" but is it really? Birmingham Bowl in year 5?

It all really depends on Bobo at this point. He's either going to show us it was a OC/BMac problem or not.

Not smack...

How on God's green earth is Ray Tanner still your AD? Has he made one good decision? I get he's a legend, but why didn't your regents put him out to pasture with some sort of honorary position?

The situation with our BoT is a bigger cluster than Tanner being AD. Needs to be totally rehauled from the bottom to the top. It's a political-centric mess of a situation.

Also notice Barry Odom got fired even though he beat South Carolina for the first time. I thought Muschamp should've been fired for losing to Missouri as well.

I can take losing to fellow SEC teams. I can't take losing to below average ACC teams and Sunbelt teams.

5 wins for them is doable, 6 would require an upset.

As an outside observer the real problem is that the fans have lost their faith in Muschamp turning the corner. They were poised to do so last year and instead they had... meh.

The Vols finally seem to be showing signs of life. Kentucky has arguably passed South Carolina in terms of return on investment. Georgia is Georgia. Florida is Florida.

A vaguely decent USC could be fighting to avoid the dreaded bottom of the SEC East.

Which is insane. USC should be, if not a powerhouse, than a very respectable school indeed when it comes to football. They have the fans. They have the facilities. They have the recruiting footprint.

I think Muschamp managed to staunch the bleeding. And that is great. But I'm not sure he's the guy to leave in place. Sometimes you need to realize you didn't hire the second coming of Bear Bryant. Sometimes you hire a caretaker coach who takes you to a certain level and needs to be moved aside in hopes of moving up an extra notch.
