The game being 2:30 as opposed to 7 will help with the crowd. That said, I agree with SoG that we're spoiled and there's no doubt Penn St./Minnesota would provide a better atmosphere and backdrop.

I am surprised that they would be at CBS game instead of the prime time ESPN game.

Dude, I don't run a broadcast company. I just know they WANT to be at this game for the same reason's it will be talked about and paid attention to throughout the college football consuming world.

Same - when it came for Georgia in 2002 and LSU in 2005 it was like the Beatles were in town.
Now, it's just not something I care about. At all. And I don't think it's JUST winning a lot - times have changed, especially in our league.

Kinda wish the Gophers would get it.
Saw their campus this summer, it’s a nice place.
Plus, watching the Gameday crew freeze is always enjoyable.

big10 champ game is the most obvious championship for Gameday, if Minnesota can win the west they'll get showcased then.

They should go to Minnesota. Why rotate through the same list of brand name schools for the same games every single year? Do something different. Go new places.
