I don't think anyone can bash him for taking the Gata job. It's where he first came to prominence and can be one of the best jobs in college football.

But I wonder if he regrets leaving State? I bet he does.

He led us out of the Croom era into respectability. I’ll forever be thankful for that. If he wasn’t such an arrogant prick on the way out, he’d be thought of a lot better.

He’ll never admit it publicly, but I guarantee it. We tried to pay him $6M/year to stay. He’d be making more than that today.
