Sometimes the Texas A&M talent shows in a big way…

They physically matched up with Alabama last night…Georgia is the only other team in the SEC who can do that…LSU can’t do it right now, Tennessee can’t do it, and Ole Miss damn sure can’t do it….the talent is there, but Jimbo…there’s your problem.

Now, we just need a coach.

Bama ran for nearly 300 yards when A&M knew that was all we could really do. Doesn't sound like they matched up physically at all.

Agreed…that was the entire point of my post…Kiffin with your roster, or with your defensive roster, would be hell on wheels.

Based on what?

Absolutely correct. aTm is stacked with quality football players (especially on defense). They're big, they fly to the football and they're in the right places. It speaks volumes about Jimbo Fisher's lack of coaching ability.

That’s a fair point, but I’m talking more about the eye test…you can see the talent A&M has.

A&M is going to give us the Tennessee treatment to end our season. Hopefully we already have our sixth win by then.

A&M held Gibbs to a reasonable number.
That guy has the talent to put up 200 yards rushing every week.
But forcing 4 turnovers is also matching up physically

I said it at the time, caught shite about it when the big recruiting class came in, changed my sig to memorialize it. I still believe its true.
Managing this much talent is beyond the abilities of Jimbo Fisher. It will be his downfall. And here's the deal ...
... the more talent you give him ? The worse its gonna' get, as the expectations get understandably higher and the results go backward because he can't juggle all the pieces.
That's a tough lesson for 99% of the managers on the planet. Its why successful companies often expand and then quickly fold. And its going to be a hard pill for A&M to swallow (ok, that pun might have been intended - go with it, WilliamTayloy).
But its true. Aggies, you want to get Jimbo more and more players. And you can, and its legal to do so. But you shouldn't. Not because its wrong. But because its going to make things worse for you.

It’s an interesting point.
I’m not on the “Jimbo sucks” bandwagon; I believe he’ll continue to build the program.
I think there’s something to be said for a success begets success mentality.
This team needs to experience that; we don’t look like we know we can do it.
Is it youth? Culture?
I don’t know.
I’m good with our team and coaches—there’s no other guy I’d rather have at the helm (right now).
But I also have no problem acknowledging moral successes; so that makes me a deadbeat failure by default.
We’ve got our work cut out for us; for me, that’s part of the buzz.

Lots of young inexperienced talent on the field right now. We have a number of older veteran players out with injuries, so the young guys are playing outsized roles at the moment, especially on offense.

This is true, but it was also against a front seven made up almost entirely of 1st and 2nd year players.

This is true.
Jimbo just needs more time.

You’re a reasonable poster, so I will ask you a yes or no question…do you think Texas A&M has a very talented roster….yes or no?
Posted on 10/9/22 at 12:48 pm to themetalreb
Nope. We got 4 gift turnovers and still screwed it up against a backup. DL got pushed around but are young so hopefully they grow. QB is a major problem that only seems solvable via transfer portal.

Tennessee will beat Alabama at the line on both sides of the ball this upcoming weekend. Bookmark this post please.

Since when does stating facts count as making excuses?
You guys won. Please quit melting.
Saban: “We really missed our QB.”
The rant: “excellent point. That’s the only reason A&M even had a chance!”
Me: “We have a shite ton of injuries and are relying on an absurd number of freshmen.”
The rant: “ohmygodyoupussyquitmakingexcuses“

Recruiting rankings, yes.
They aren't physically matching up with the upper echelon teams though.
They've been pushed around in the trenches all season long.
