Tua and Jalen will be one of them considering Jalen won’t sniff a contract in the NFL.

What are some other all time greats?

This is on Tua and his family, he could be starting at some major universities right now.

To answer your question, Cam Newton and Tim Tebow.

Matt Cassel has a strong case. Has to be one of the only QBs to never throw a TD in college football and still get drafted.

Funnier still is that Cam was 3rd string behind Brantley.

Booty had the better arm, but Rohan had the intangibles.

There were also rumors of a locker room divide. The o-line didn't want to block for Rohan, so when he was in, he had no time to throw. However, the WR's didn't want to catch for Booty, so when he was in, they would suddenly develop a case of the drops.

I think this is all BS. The o-line didn't suddenly "forget how to block". Rohan was a scrambler that sometimes held onto the ball too long and didn't have the pocket presence to get rid of the ball. Booty had a rocket arm, and like with Jamarcus Russel a few years later, that made some of his bullet passes hard to hold on to.

Kurt Warner 3rd on depth chart at UNI till his senior year. Went undrafted and was stocking shelves at a grocery store 5 years before becoming the NFL MVP, SB MVP and SB champ.

Ok, so not really an injustice but still a great backup.

That wasn't Heupel. It was Nate Hybl, who took over after Heupel graduated

Hybl didn't win a national title. OU hasn't won one since the Heupel team in 2000.

I don't think this is THAT egregious when you look at the black and white of it (no pun intended). Stoudt was a senior that had played in 22 games with 8 TDs and 1 INT. His junior year he completed 80% of his passes, and in 2014 clemson opened on the road in Athens. It's not like it's crazy talk to suggest starting him out was a bad idea.

HOWEVER, everyone knows that watson was the better QB it'd only be a matter of time. Clemson played him way too much in 2014 IMO (as would be most people's opinion I think) and I'll tell ya Watson sure looked great in game 1 against us.

But to say DW should have started game 1 snap 1 is a bit unfair I think.

Not a pure backup, but Tom Brady splitting time with Drew Henson has to be up there.

How has Chris Simms and Major Applewhite not been mentioned? Worst of all time, probably cost Texas a NC game appearance in 2001.

Jarrett Lee riding the pine despite Jordan Jefferson looking completely lost in the last three games of the season.

Sending him out to take a knee in the SEC title game was insulting.
