Everybody hates Nick Saban because he wins. If you were an Lsu fan back in the day, you LOVED Nick Saban and beat your chest. You won a natty with him and paved the streets with his name.

Then he went to Alabama and became "satan."

Not because he is evil, but only because he wins at a different University.

He wins so much that it got the playoff system underway. Maybe extra games vs more tough teams means there is a chance Alabama could lose.

But he kept on winning and now people want more teams in the playoffs lol.

When you can't beat someone it feels like life is unfair. If you do beat that monster then you shout from the mountain tops (like Ole Miss) as if you won a natty.

Saban won't be the coach at Alabama forever so rest easy, your team will eventually have their shot.

I just find all of this playoff garbage funny how so-and-so would have had a better shot beating Bama. But then Washington was that team , right?

You don't have to like Saban, but anyone who doesn't respect what he has done for college football with a bullseye on his back is kidding themselves. Everyone here who hates the man would rejoice in the streets if he became your head coach.

Very true, and I don't think many will argue with you on these points. I just kind of thought it goes without saying.

They will argue until the cows come home.

PS: I for one want Saban to retire.

Don't hate him. Respect him tremendously. And I cannot wait for the day he retires.

That's what I'm talking about. True football fan like me that simply knows who owns the game right now. I want him to retire...last year. He will eventually and the Sec will be back to normal.

Maybe...but where's Mississippi State's position in this "normalcy" of which you speak?

Hell, you may as well hope Saban coaches until he's 90. Either way, it doesn't affect State.

Big Bird could be coaching at Alabama and Mississippi State wouldn't be relevant.

We will hire Croom. He knows how to beat Bama lol. It's the one thing he could do.
