The baseball player was reported by people sitting around him, per what I read about it. Fields never heard it.
For sure that did not have squat to do with Fields transferring but Fields was able to get immediate eligibility out of it.

It definitely happened, but Fields didn't hear it and it had nothing to do with why he transferred. He just used it to his advantage.
