Say hello to Jessie Newell.

Funny thing is that he has Kentucky ranked #25.

When you play as many games as teams do in college basketball you are bound to lose to a shitty team somewhere along the way....happens all the time

That guy might be worse than Wilner and Seth Davis. He has Michigan St's dick so far up his arse this season, there's no wonder why he can't be bothered to watch many games.

I mean I guess if he just ranks straight from KenPom it ain’t all that bad. Of course kenpom is predictive and ranking should be more in line with what have you actually done this season... but still. Maybe he doesn’t know that?

He does his rankings strictly from analytics. You can read about his reasoning here. Jesse is one of the best beat writers in the business and just has a different mindset on what the AP poll should be. He’s always stayed consistent and backs up his reasoning well. You can disagree with his style, but he at least backs it up.

Two bad losses back to back, only great win was with a huge home court advantage....I think AU is top 25 but it's not ridiculous to say they aren't. The national press views SEC basketball about like AAC football. If you are perfect you can get some headlines as a feel good team, but a few missteps and they will write you off for a blueblood quickly.

Blowout losses to Alabama and Florida, both of which are not exactly great teams. AU has not been a good road team.

It's pretty fricking ridiculous. I would love for you to find even 20 teams that you can make a case for being better and having a better resume right now than Auburn.

I'll wait

You sound like a UCF football fan. If you are an SEC school and want to be treated like basketball royalty, you better play a top notch non conference schedule and win. Because no one respects the SEC conference schedule.

They are probably having trouble getting past the Minnesota loss.

Who said anything about royalty? We’re talking about being ranked in the Top 25 with only 2 losses.

You should stick to football, gump. That's a shite analogy and you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Oh I forgot about Florida. Guess I tried to block that out

Auburn has really been fine on the road. Those are the only two road losses

I can't see why these little teams are ranked ahead of the sec teams, acc teams. Like San Diego State, never knew that school could play basketball.
