And it will be fitting to watch him kick some Aggie butt. They will like it

He will do as the Aggie hive mind directs him

Chad Morris definitely scares me more than Beilema, especially if he gets Venables. He might need a couple years to develop a QB though.

QB is actually one of the positions that on paper is well stocked.

That tall kid didn't do much in Tiger Stadium.

Meh. The problem with Arkansas is that in order for them to overcome the talent gap A&M/Alabama/Auburn and LSU will perpetually have over them, they need something a little better than "well stocked on paper".
Luckily for Arkansas, Chad Morris was able to get an Elite 11 QB to SMU, which is damn impressive. So I just realized you're an Arkansas fan, you don't know what an Elite 11 QB is. So basically it's a really good QB, and you need one of those for the first time ever.

Well it helps to have a functional Oline. But also that was something like his 3 game to play in. So no surprise. Not claiming he's future Heisman winner or anything, but you certainly can't judge him at this point. Besides like I said "on paper". Time will tell.

Austin Allen was an Elite 11 QB lol.
Not sure if Kelley is a great fit for Morris’ offense. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Rafe Peavey grad transfers back here for a year. We may come after Gerry Bohanon harder now too in recruiting.

I have no illusions on the state of the Razorback team. Was not implying otherwise. Just saying there may be workable talent at QB on arrival. But of course that doesn't mean much without a functional Oline, which of course seems to be entirely lacking.

Ricky Town was an Elite 11 QB, but we've had plenty of elite QB's. I'm surprised you've forgotten about Mallett and Wilson, considering how they...
I like the hire. If anything goes wrong, we can just blame it on Morris being an Aggie...

I have just found when people are being stupid, it's best to just let them be that way.

It is just banter. Arkansas does need a talent upgrade I was just being hyperbolic in describing said lack of talent.

No argument there. At Oline, probable receiver, another RB or two, at Linebacker, hello practically the whole defense.

It baffled me for years that Beilema was okay with having almost zero ties to Texas high schools, and how the Arkansas fan base was okay with the lack of Texas recruiting. For that matter, the lack of Tulsa recruiting. With Chad Morris you've gotten one small piece of addressing the DFW area recruiting puzzle, but it's a lot more difficult to build those relationships than one might think. Mike Sherman had to undo a lot of the damage Fran did with high school coaches, and we are in the fricking State of Texas.
If I'm Arkansas I absolutely beg for Oklahoma State or OU to play a series to break in to the Tulsa recruiting. That could help Arkansas just as much as Texas recruiting. Arkansas should get a kid from Jenks and Union almost every single year just to solidify the pipeline.

Not with Cole Kelley. He's a clod.

Ssssh, Don't give them any good ideas.

2 points:
1) Arkansas, prior to Bert, always recruited Texas hard. After the move to the SEC, our pipeline diminished. Every coach we've had since, with the exception of Bert, was able to reestablish some porion of a pipeline.
2) Bert also seemed to completely ignore east Oklahoma. We have always landed top recruits from that area.
Nothing to really be baffled about. Bert tried to ignore our traditional recruiting areas and recruit Florida instead. Only place Bert expanded our footprint was in Louisiana and it's not enough for LSU to notice.

Bert ran his mouth at a meeting that had tons of Texas coaches, High School, and College, and burnt a lot of bridges. So that didn't help much.
