So long Gus? Auburn fans want to hire controversial former SEC head coach

No idiots want to hire Freeze. We saw a Freeze offense against SC when we had 55 pass attempts vs 16 rushes for our best player. We dont need another coach who will abandon the run.

I don't know how realistic is would be, but I would really like us to go out and hire PJ Fleck as HC and Hugh Freeze as OC. Maybe pick up a transfer QB from somewhere in the off season. What PJ has done at Western Michigan and Minnesota is pretty incredible. Getting 5 star recruits from the south to go up and play in cold arse Minnesota and finish #7 in recruiting nationally is amazing. We need that here.

Why wouldn't you want a coach who can recruit with the best and has a history of beating Bama?
Freeze is a way better coach than Gus. Gus wouldn't have gotten Ole Miss 10 wins and a Sugar Bowl

I don't think Auburn can afford to fire Malzahn after that buyout he was able to negotiate in 2017. Plus he will likely get a pass this year because of the pandemic. Next year he will go 9-3/10-2 with a victory over Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Be ready. It's coming.

Also, 0% chance we’ll hire Freeze. Our PTB wouldn’t let Gus hire him as OC. They’re certainly not going to bring him in as the face of the program.
