SEC rules state that a team must have 7 scholarship OL to play a game so this can’t be true
The SEC released its football game cancellation and postponement policies on Friday, setting a minimum threshold of 53 available scholarship athletes to compete.
Included in the policy is a minimum number of scholarship players at specific positions, including seven offensive linemen (with one center), one quarterback and four defensive linemen.
However, schools can continue to compete with fewer players available if they choose to do so. "Otherwise, upon approval by the Commissioner, the game would be rescheduled or declared a no contest," according to the news release.
If there are other "compelling reasons" (outside of the scholarship and position minimums) a school cannot compete, it will be able to request a postponement or cancellation. The final decision for such requests will be determined by commissioner Greg Sankey.
The SEC, which opted to play a 10-game, conference-only schedule during the coronavirus pandemic, will begin its season on Sept. 26.

With atleast 12 guys out, its hard to say what kind of team we will be fielding.
We don't even know if Drink is going to put out a depth chart.
Word is we are right at the limit for available OL at 7. It mostly has to do with contact tracing than positive tests based on a positive test that happened SEPT 12th, and SEC requires 14 days quarantine. We already had 2 out due to injury, including our starting LT.
Outside of the OL questions, no idea who is starting at QB. It's either Robinson or Bazelak. Bazelak is recovering from an ACL injury. Robinson would be making his first Mizzou start.
RB is by far our best offensive position group. But without knowing how the OL will shape out, will see how effective we will be running the ball.
WR/TE will be seeing atleast 1 new starter in Chism, Hazleton will play if healthy. Knox and Banister are returners with Hester and Draine as FR coming in competing for playing time. Daniel Parker is back at TE, not sure what the depth chart looks like after him.
Defense will probably not change much as Walters i
On the Dline we have some good bodies, but not much of an established pass rush. LB should be solid with Bolton and crew. Secondary is solid depth, CB not as strong as safety. I have no idea how tackling will look based on what they have done in practices. That is probably going to look bad in the first game (see last year).
Alabama will win 40 something to 10 something, and will cover the spread -21.5.

I do not understand why contact tracing quarantine is even a thing when we have 15 minute testing?
It is ridiculous.

Which is what confuses me. Most of the players will have then been out well over 20 days since testing positive, why so long?
Personally, I'd think if an asymptomatic player tested positive then the normal quarantine of 14 days would be enough of a layoff.

Contact tracing with rapid testing available makes zero sense.
I had said when the p5/NCAA announced their protocol that it was going to wreak havoc on the season and it already has. Worst part is it’s totally unnecessary

Lol, what a mess.
Anyway, Drink says he expects to be at 69 scholarship players for the game.
We also got a talented DE reinstated, but doubt he’ll be playing this week

Well to be fair, it would be basically be like playing against air for Bama even with them in.
