So is Mullen still considered a QB whisperer?

Let me start off by saying he exceeded expectations this year at Florida from the start of the season till the end --kudos!. However, his offense was pretty much made by Perine & his running backs. We all know he will find a better QB than the Alpaca, but why could he not whisper the Alpaca? Language barrier?

Also, now everyone is starting to call Dak a bust in the NFL. Tebow was a great college football player, but didn't survive. This was also under head coach Urban Meyer with a great roster.

Last, Mullen at Mississippi State did great things, the best coach they've ever had! It's quite amazing what he did, until you peel back the onion and look at the teams he played and his record against top teams.

So rant, do you guys think he is a QB whisperer, a good coach, or bust?

Pic of my Alpaca Filepe for your time

He had one successful QB at State. I don’t know why everyone thinks he’s a QB guru.

Alpacas have tremendous hearing abilities, so idk about that. Maybe his QB was just stubborn.

Your obsession with Mullen is weird. Have you seen Franks stats with McElwain and then with Mullen? It’s not even close 1000 more yards 16 more TD’s and 4 less interceptions on more attempts. Dan Mullen is the mother fricking QB whispering God. Your troll attempt is awful, and you should be ashamed that you typed it out.

By looking at how Fitz played with Mullen and without. It’s actually quite obvious.

He took the worst QB in the conference and produced 31 TDs to 6 interceptions.

Fitz also had a bad injury & new offense.

Excuses are like assholes, he looked worse and it’s not even close.

Alex Smith
Chris Leak
Tim Tebow
Dak Prescott
Nick Fitzgerald (the before, during, and after is pretty telling)
Franks (again the before and during are pretty telling as well)

He has the pedigree to be recognized as very good with QBs.

Isn't he highly dependent on the running success of his quarterback? Tebow, Fitzgerald and Franks... didn't Franks have a huge rushing game against Michigan?

Alex Smith - #1 overall pick
Leak - NC winning QB
Tebow -Heisman, 1st round pick, NC
Dak - NFL ROY, Pro Bowl
Fitz- All time leading QB rusher SEC History

You could even list Cam, as he played under Mullen more thank any other coach in college and looked like a finished product in JUCO.

And the best development job he may have every done was Chris Relf, not any of the guys above.

Yes. See Franks improvement in year one. If you can’t, it’s because you aren’t looking. Improved in every category. Now he’s got far better talent coming in than he did at State in that position. Results will show. If he can make white Fitz one of the best running QBs in the SEC..I’m betting he can do the same with highly touted Jones.

Yes but that’s part of being a successful college QB. Franks was a much more effective runner this year.
