So Auburn couldn’t come up with the $32 million after all?

I see Gus is still the head honcho at Auburn. I was told that the $32 million buyout wasn’t an issue and would only take a couple of phone calls to handle. Not sure what to believe anymore

No shite they couldn’t find $32m to buy him out, their posters on here were the only ones who think Auburn has that kind of skrilla

fricking embarrassing. Rather lose to one of the Mississippi colleges.

What was so great about that concept (that they would actually pay that buyout) is that it created an even better one "Gus will accept a cut in the buyout to not be fired."
We all know that neither of those happened just like we all predicted.
The conclusion to take from it: Auburn has the biggest sunshine pumping full of shite beat writers in the entire SEC.
I blame Saban. My theory is his success is to overwhelming that Auburn "journalists" have to completely make up silver linings because Nick doesn't leave enough real ones lying around for them to keep the subscriptions rolling in all year.

He beat Ole Miss and A&M and saved his job.
He'd have been gone otherwise, it was well known at that point.
But I forgot how LSU fans know so much more about the inner workings of our athletic department.

The people that thought they were going to fire Gus after the season were delusional. Even if the buyout was 10 million, he wouldnt have been fired

Key phrase. He would be gone if the team were sitting at home in December after 4 years of top-10 recruiting classes.

Mucho money, but Gus does have an SEC trophy. There's 11 coaches in the league who can't claim that. They're all pretty rich guys too.

He actually is not. He was driving the buyout talk in October. Lots of lumber to be sold after the hurricane.
