Play in the home stadium of the higher seeded team. This is a must. It makes the regular season mean more.

Also, You should not have to be a conference champion if we are taking more than 2 teams. If you are in the top 4 of the BCS, you get in whether you win the conference or not.

What was ridiculous about last year and Alabama getting in is that there was not a playoff set up before hand. In a playoff, things reset a bit. In a championship game, it should be champions only. So, if you are going to expand this, then letting in a non-conference champion is okay. As it presently sits, if you don't win your conference, you should just stay home.

I would guess that most of your ilk feel this way after 01-09-12. And it would be a shame if being a conference champion was a perequisite for having a shot at the BCSNCG.

Being a conference champ obviously does not mean it's the best team in the country.

Oh...and 21-0.

No. I've felt this way since Nebraska got in the game in 2001, I believe. I felt this way when Oklahoma got in in 2003. I've felt this way since the BCS began. Without a playoff, you should not have teams who did not even when their conference.

This is why references to the NCAA tournament or the NFL Playoffs are so stupid. With a playoff, you can pick the best teams because things reset. If you can work your way throught the playoff, you deserve to be there. But, in the situation you have right now, if you can't win your conference or your division, you have no business playing for a national title.

By the way, I also went on record here BEFORE the game on November 5th saying that no matter what happened, there should not be a rematch and that the winner of that game should represent the SEC. I believed that even if LSU would have lost AT Alabama before a hostile crowd.

Either of those teams as evenly matched as they were, if they would have lost the first game and then got a second shot at the other team with all of the emotion involved, could have changed the outcome.

I am not nor will I ever be convinced that Alabama was 3 touchdowns better than LSU last year, so your "21-0" schtick falls on deaf ears and is irrelevant.

1. Mike Slive is the man. He and Delaney can't stand one another and I love it.

2. I think we should leave the BCS as it. Though I wouldn't hate a playoff.
3. If we do a playoff...only conference champs with 2 at larges based on ranking so say a LSU and Arky could get in.

The bad weather argument is pretty dumb IMO. Do the Packers/Bears/Giants/Jets/Patriots have problems playing playoff games in the cold?

The Hotel argument is an interesting one, although many of the schools he talks about have smaller stadiums and therefore don't need as many rooms

He isn't so bad when he knows his place which is running is mouth in the tabloids about the people with disagree with the SEC and agreeing with the SEC. As long as he does those two things then I don't give a flying frick about him and the SWC pt 2.

Some here dog him out but you dont know how pathetic a commish can be until you come from the B12 or B10.

Delany is the best commish in the sport; he maximizes money for his conference, which is his job. He's also the one who won the biggest in the conference realignment IMO

The Rose Bowl is the biggest money bowl outside of the NCG. It handily beats the other BCS bowls so why wouldn't he fight for it. No way the NCAA leaves the Big X behind and Delany knows it and uses it to his advantage

Slive is the best commish and you know it. The SEC is the mastermind of the BCS. Delaney is just jealous he can't be the head boss of the best conference in all sports not to mention college football.

I mean the SEC owns ESPN now which is working huge to their advantage with recruits and games on tv in primetime. That is as much Slive as it is the Big X and Delany going to the Big X network

We can agree to disagree Penn State is new to the Big Ten and not so tied historically with the Pac 10/Big Ten Rose Bowl. Any tie-in that forces a Big Ten to a play in game vs the Pac Ten puts the eastern team at a disadvantage by playing away.

the lame10 had to create their own network because people would rather see the best and most exciting football which is the SEC.

This is hilarious.

Slive tried his damndest to level the playing field for the B1G a few years ago against the SEC by offering a +1. Delaney refused, and you see the results of Delaney's fine commissioneering...a SEC 6-peat.

Delaney's just now coming around about four years too late.

Ok I can buy that, but do you hate the Cap 1/Outback/Alamo/Gator bowls too? They are all in SEC/Big XII country playing teams from those conferences in their backyards. It's not just the Rose; aside from the bowl in Detroit Big X teams play away games

Delaney is doing me no favors by fighting the home site playoff for the neutral site Rose Bowl
