Six of eight in CWS got me thinking

I’ve got a bit of buyers remorse about bringing UT and Oklahoma on, not because they don’t strengthen the conference, but perhaps it’s too much.

Six of eight in the CWS will be SEC. The final two in softball will be SEC, the final two in football were SEC. Kentucky played Texas for a volleyball title a year ago. Texas and Oklahoma both had multiple NCAA titles in 2021-2022. What’s next, bring in Kansas and UNC for basketball and forget about the NCAA?

The rate this is going an SEC title may as well be an NCAA title in multiple sports. Not sure that’s good long term; certainly not good for one of the things I like about college athletics: the regionalism, the differences, the competition with other parts of the country, settled on the field.
