And almost lost the Baseball coach as well.
Only to be outdone by LSU who lost all 4 in the last 12 months.
Misery loves company

Addition by subtraction. I’m still pinching myself Mike White is gone. That’s like losing the tin man, if I only had a brain.

I am happy to be able to move on as well, but not if we hire some schmoe. I would have rather just kept White.
So we will see.

It definitely feels like an *opportunity* to improve at the coaching position for UF. But to your point, gotta nail the hire, which isn't an easy ask.
UGA improves with White, but Crean is a low bar. For him to have meaningful success in Athens, we've got to figure out what commitment looks like to the basketball program, and strategically increase spending to support acquisition and retention of talent, and building a staff that can develop and build an identity around the parts that exist. Long term vision matters, but have to figure out how to have some level of success early to point to growth/progress or recruiting is going to remain hard in Athens.

Losing their former WBB coach was the best thing that could have happened to them in that regard.

You let this guy become a part of your athletic department. Should have known it would all turn to crap with him around.

Still trying to figure out why GA took White off of our hands for free. Is that some sort of olive branch or pity?

Stop trying to copy us. I hate y’all so much. I hope you lose every game for the rest of time.

In the last 12 years, Florida has won 21 team national championships. Tennessee has won zero.
The basketball coach we just fired won 6 NCAA tournament games and made the Elite 8. Rick Barnes has won 3 and only made one Sweet 16 in the same time.

Cool story. But this year starts a new time line. Actually your football team started it last year.

Certain UGA posters keep bringing Mike White's success in the tourney (winning 6 games) yet Crean also won 6 games at IU before going to UGA.

Not just for free, they have to pay us $1.75 million.
